Tappeti has been inspired by the textures and directionality of weaving and the harmony and juxtaposition of colour and fibre to create its evocative collection, GRIGLIA.
The warp and weft of the loom are the basis for an improvisation in directional shapes, textures and chromatics. Grids are transformed, convoluted and overlaid, enhancing the visual appreciation and guiding the eye through space.
A gentle, neutral colour palette of dove and stone greys form the base of this rug, with olive green and plummy red colour block patterns overlaid. An asymmetric pattern of shimmering olive art-silk lines is superimposed, creating a layered, elegant design.
A contrast fringe detail lends a touch of the dramatic to this rug.
